She accomplished a lot – Czech curator Karina Kottová visited Egypt, where she participated in several events of the program series Safe Spaces , which, with its focus on mental health, is also among the program priorities of the entire network of Czech Centers .

Together with artist and cultural manager of the partner Jesuit Cultural Center in Alexandria, Toka Qataya, Karina led a two-day workshop Creating – Curating: Between Emotions and Awareness . The participants of the workshop, consisting of young artists from Alexandria, explored the question of how emotions and conscious perception intertwine in artistic creation, curating, and the presentation of works. Through dialogue, practical activities, and case studies, they reflected on how feelings influence creative processes, curatorial decision-making, and the ways in which we, as artists, audiences, or institutions, relate to art — and how to find space for care and empathy in contemporary artistic practice.
