The teams of the Czech Centre and the Embassy of the Czech Republic represented Czechia at the Sakia Exhibition for Culture Services 2026, held at the Elsawy Culturewheel cultural centre. Throughout the day, the event recorded high attendance and a strong interest from the Egyptian public in Czech culture.
During the programme, information was provided on study opportunities in Czechia, Czech language courses, and the country’s spa tradition. The presentation also included a quiz, with participants receiving copies of Arabic translations of Czech fiction as prizes.
An animated film created at FAMU – the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague – was screened on the main stage as an example of contemporary Czech audiovisual production. The screening also marked FAMU’s anniversary year, as the institution is celebrating 80 years since its establishment.
