Czech visual artist Ester Nemjó is among the group of artists whose works form the travelling exhibition Beyond Paper Plane. At the beginning of February, Czech Centre Cairo presented the exhibition in Egypt for the fourth time, this time at the Goethe-Institut and in partnership with the Hakawy International Arts Festival for Children.
As part of the accompanying programme, Ester led a four-hour workshop during which 80 children, working in several groups, created their own books.
Throughout her stay, Ester captured her inspiration from Cairo in her visual diary, and selected moments can be seen in the photo gallery. Her work can also be followed on her website and on Instagram under the name ester_nemjo.
