Within the third edition of the SABBART programme, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo and the Czech Centre Cairo invite you to an art talk exploring flora through photography and visual arts. The event presents contemporary artistic approaches grounded in research, observation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Residency Outcomes and Collaboration
Egyptian student Mariam Hamdy (Helwan University) and Czech student Sophie Morgensternová (Studio of Applied Photography, Faculty of Art and Design, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University) will present the outcomes of their two-week residencies as well as their broader student work. Their projects reflect a shared process of inquiry across cultural and environmental contexts.
Ecology, Art, and SABBART
The art talk focuses on the relationship between humans and flora, connecting ecological thinking, field research, and artistic interpretation of the surrounding landscape. It forms part of the SABBART programme, which explores the role of art and culture in shaping a more sustainable future.
