The workshop is part of the project Beyond Paper Plane and is related to the upcoming fourth presentation of the eponymous exhibition in Egypt . It offers a playful and open format in which participants can create an author book at their own pace using unconventional materials.
About the workshop
Participants will gradually create individual parts of the book at several workstations – the cover, main character, landscape, and a short text. They will try simple printing techniques, collage, working with relief, and an experimental approach to storytelling. The workshop encourages imagination, creativity, and joy in manual work and is designed to be open: during the allocated time, participants can come and go as they please.
About the instructor
Ester Nemjó is an illustrator, visual artist, and animator from Prague. In her work, she combines illustration, painting, animation, and storytelling. She has exhibited in the Czech Republic and abroad, collaborates with publishing houses, and has long been dedicated to leading creative workshops for children and adults.
