Can parallels be found between the Czechoslovak and Egyptian environments and the conditions for the emergence of electroacoustic compositions? A music lecture and discussion on this topic was led by Petr Ferenc, Head of the Centre for Documentation of Popular Music and New Media at the National Museum in Prague.
Petr Ferenc’s research interests include sound carriers as recording and artistic media, the sensory perception of music, and underground music trends that remain invisible from the heights of pop music.
The event, intended for those interested in alternative music and music history, was part of the Year of Czech Music in Egypt programme.
