The exhibition will showcase 24 portraits of remarkable Czech and Egyptian women from various fields and historical periods by the youngest generation of illustrators.
The traveling exhibition "Czech and Egyptian Heroines" is part of a project that highlights influential Czech and Egyptian women. The project was first presented at the International Women's Film Festival in Aswan, then in Luxor, Cairo, and now in Alexandria.
The ceremonial opening of the exhibition took place on July 5th in the Hall of Fame of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Visitors could see it until July 15th.
The project is organized by Czech Centers, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, the Faculty of Design and Art of Ladislav Sutnar at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Helwan University, and the European Union in Egypt.
