The exhibition presents 24 portraits of remarkable Czech and Egyptian women from various fields and historical periods, created by a new generation of illustrators.
The exhibition Czech and Egyptian Heroines is part of a broader project introducing the life stories of influential Czech and Egyptian women. It was first presented at the Aswan International Women Film Festival, where it launched a travelling exhibition accompanied by a rich programme of events in several Egyptian cities.
The opening took place on 6 March. Visitors could see the exhibition until 9 March.
The project is organized by Czech Centres, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Helwan University, and the AUC Political Science Students’ Association.
