The exhibition will present 24 portraits of remarkable Czech and Egyptian women from various fields and historical periods by the youngest generation of illustrators.
The exhibition "Czech and Egyptian Heroines" is part of a project that showcases influential Czech and Egyptian women. It was presented for the first time at the International Women's Film Festival in Aswan at the beginning of March last year, where it launched a traveling exhibition with a rich accompanying program in several other Egyptian cities. Since then, visitors have been able to see it in Luxor, Cairo, Alexandria, and Ismailia.
The ceremonial opening of the exhibition took place on January 29 at the Hurghada Museum. Interested parties could visit it until February 19.
The project is organized by Czech Centers, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, the Faculty of Design and Art of Ladislav Sutnar at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, and the Faculty of Fine Arts of Helwan University.
