At the third book meeting, readers were introduced to Love in the Time of Global Climate Change by Josef Pánek, which received the Magnesia Litera Award in 2018.
The event aims to regularly guide Cairo-based readers through both classic and contemporary Czech literature. The third session was once again moderated by writer and journalist Nora Nagi. Participants immersed themselves in the novel by Czech scientist and author Josef Pánek.
Set in Bangalore, India, the novel highlights shared experiences and challenges across cultures. Through the journeys of its characters, it explores the complexity of love, relationships, and unexpected connections while addressing the urgent issue of climate change.
During the meeting, readers were also given insight into the translation process, presented by Professor Amr Shatury. With the participation of Sherif Bakr from Al Arabi Publishing and Distributing, they also learned more about the publishing industry.
