Leading Czech cellist Tomáš Jamník was the main star of the season opening concert at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, where he performed with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra under the baton of conductor Nayer Nagui.
The evening programme featured, among others, Antonín Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in B minor and choral works by Johannes Brahms, performed by the orchestra, choir, and youth orchestra of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The event is part of the Year of Czech Music 2024 in Egypt programme. It was organised in cooperation with the Czech Centre Cairo and supported by:
