During his stay in Cairo, cellist Tomáš Jamník gave two concerts and, in addition, led an excellent masterclass for students from the Cairo Conservatoire.
The masterclass took place at Cultograph, near the Czech Embassy in the Dokki district. Several talented students from the Cairo Conservatoire had the opportunity to learn from a leading cellist who has performed with major Czech and international orchestras. A quartet of Cairo Conservatoire students had previously enriched the opening programme of the exhibition Famous Czech Composers at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo.
